Two Arizona teenagers faced a choice after getting into a fight at Westwood High in Mesa: They could either be suspended for nine days ... or hold hands in front of everybody. Obviously, they chose the latter, and now the school is catching flak for it.

The two students had their sexuality questioned by other students watching, according to student Brittney Myers:

Kids were laughing at them and calling them names asking, 'Are you gay?'

In addition, photos taken of them looking horribly embarrassed were posted on Tumblr and Facebook. Soon after, the public outcry began.

We're pretty sure our moms made us do this when we fought with siblings as a child, so we're kind of like 'eh' on this one. What do you think -- brilliant idea, or cruel and unusual punishment?
