Why Did Anjelica Huston Toss Water in Jimmy Fallon’s Face?

Anjelica Huston Jimmy Fallon

Anjelica Huston’s Eileen Rand character on the NBC musical drama ‘Smash’is often described with a word that rhymes with witch. Huston was on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon‘ Monday night, where she happily conceded that Rand was in fact unpleasant and difficult to deal with.

But there is a difference between telling and showing. And when Fallon mentioned that Rand seems to throw a drink at her ex-husband in almost every scene they appear together, that gave Huston an idea.

Yup, she picked up her Late Night mug and used Fallon’s face for target practice. You can’t quite call it a sneak attack, because Fallon said he saw it coming. But he still got quite wet.

One of the things Huston is known for is her on-again, off-again relationship with Jack Nicholson, which spanned most of the ’70s and ’80s. Given Nicholson tomcat reputation, we imagine she first perfected her water tossing technique on him. In fact, Jack was probably lucky when it was only water coming in his direction.
