Then: Rose won the honor of voicing Disney’s first African-American princess in ‘The Princess and the Frog’ after starring in the Oscar-winning movie musical ‘Dreamgirls,’ opposite Beyoncé Knowles and Jennifer Hudson.

Now: She continues to score roles in film, but mostly in television, where she’s appeared on ‘Private Practice’ and ‘The Good Wife,’ and lent her voice to Abe Simpson’s long-lost love Rita LaFleur in an episode of ‘The Simpsons.’
