Study Reveals America’s Most (And Least) Patriotic State
Are you proud to be an American? Maybe, but you’d be hard-pressed to be as proud as the people in this state.
The rankings were compiled by looking at two fields — military engagement and civic engagement — which were then broken down into 13 different categories.
With all that taken into account, the most patriotic state is — drum roll, please — Virginia, which edged the state on the extreme outpost of the country, Alaska.
The top 10 was a real hodge-podge of location — south, east and west are all represented — but the least patriotic states had a common bond, with the lion’s share of those coming from the East Coast (New Jersey has the dubious honor of placing first).
