Probably what happened is artist RED decided as tribute to Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain," she should set fire to the rain, then realized you can't really set fire to the rain, so she set some candles on fire instead. The result is much less terrifying than actual flaming rain would be -- in fact, it's a pretty amazing portrait of Adele made using only melted wax.

It's not the first portrait she's done -- she's also made Mark Zuckerberg out of books, and Chinese direct Zhang Yimou out of socks, but we're guessing this is the one teenage girls are most likely to watch while they read Sylvia Plath and seriously contemplate that day's journal entry. It's got super-emotional music and burning candles, so it pretty much screams out to moody teenage girls everywhere.

Even if you're not a 15-year-old obsessed with Tori Amos, you will still be impressed by this. We can't quite figure out how she made it work, though. Every time we've let candles burn too long they just turned into a giant mess on our kitchen table.
