What do you do when you and your buddies are bored and have a van and a boat lying around? Well, the obvious thing to do, of course: combine them!

Reddit user Frankeh1 recently posted to the /r/pics subreddit, entitling the post "We also had to improvise ways to have fun, so we built a raft too." Already, that should tip you off to what they created with their free time and assortment of supplies and tools.

They don't explain why they did anything or what the process of combining a van and boat was like, but in the spirit of the subreddit, the entire story is told through the pictures. As you scroll through the pics below, you'll see the inspiring photos that were born from a little boredom and wild idea back in 2009. There seems to be quite a bit of trial and error to the proceedings, but it's fun to see them keep slapping things onto this franken-vehicle.

We personally think that adding the couch and the TV combo is an inspired decision and it almost has us wanting to raid a junk yard to create our own mobile living room, be it aquatic or not.
