10 Celebrities You Didn’t Know Were Bilingual

After 'Black Swan' and 'Friends with Benefits' star Mila Kunis surprised many by busting out her native Russian to scold a reporter in Moscow, we started wondering how many other celebrities are out there who speak more than just English. Check out the stars who we never knew were bilingual, and in some cases, trilingual:
Colin Firth
Firth's wife is Italian, and he's said he learned the language to charm her when they were dating.
Bradley Cooper
Cooper became fluent in French while attending Georgetown University, and spent six months as an exchange student in Aix-en-Provence, France.
Hugh Jackman
We're not entirely sure how or when Jackman learned the language, but he's said his wife once lived in France and is fluent in French.
Kobe Bryant
When the basketball star was a child, his father -- a hoops player himself -- moved the family to Italy, where Kobe picked up both the native language and Spanish.
David Lee Roth
The longtime Van Halen frontman's grandparents were multi-lingual, so he may have picked up Spanish from them. Regardless, he's recorded 11 percent of his music in the language.
Johnny Depp
Back in 2000, Depp said he spoke French but not fluently -- however, thanks to many years of living in France (and longtime French girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis) have certainly sharpened his skills.
Jon Heder
The 'Napoleon Dynamite' and 'Blades of Glory' star is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and learned to speak Japanese for an LDS mission in Japan.
Sandra Bullock
Bullock learned to speak the language from her mother, who was a German opera singer.
Viggo Mortensen
The actor comes from a multi-national family and has lived in Spain, Denmark and Argentina, where he picked up several languages.
Charlize Theron
The Oscar-winning star of 'Monster' was born and raised in South Africa, where she learned to speak a Dutch/African derivative language called Afrikaans.
